The UK's best acoustic music livestreamed to your home.

Calon

'Calon' is the artist name for Adam Lewis, a Welsh musician, originally from Swansea, who has been based in London for nearly 3 years.

Having similarities to Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and the guitar style of Johnny Marr, Calon's songwriting blend of alternative rock with jazz/blues makes for an unconventional yet exciting style of playing.

Calon released his first single, "Feral", in January 2020. The track evokes a 90s alt-rock sound with Suede and Nirvana being main influences.

For his second release in September 2020, "Familiar", a more laidback jazzy sound is heard. This track has a Jeff Buckley and Corinne Bailey Rae influence to it. Both tracks were part of an EP recorded in 2019, with all being released in the coming months.

In Welsh, 'Calon' can mean Spirit, Centre, Emotion, but literally translates as 'Heart', something that is reflected through the emotive and honest nature of his original songwriting.

Calon performs Saturday 27 March in the afternoon as part of our Artisan Club
